Gregory Perry is a Headshot, Portrait, and Event Photographer based out of Ossining in Westchester County, New York. He does both studio photography and on-location photography and travels throughout the greater New York area. Greg’s warm personality and professional demeanor make him very easy and fun to work with and allows his clients to always be themselves , thus enabling Greg to capture the most authentic and realistic portraits of his clients. Whether it be professional headshots to update your social media profile, individual or family portraits to preserve precious family memories, or capturing special events, Greg is the photographer to make it all happen.
Greg is originally from Glens Falls, which is located in upstate New York. He was reared in a small town and developed small town values including the importance of community and following your dreams no matter how big or far away they may seem. His love of photography was born during childhood when his parents gave him his first camera on his 8th birthday. He took that camera everywhere, training his photographer’s eye and developing his style. At the time he never thought photography would be more than a lifelong hobby. After coming to the sad realization that he would never get drafted to be a professional baseball player, he moved to Westchester County to attend college. After college he moved to New York City and began a successful career in financial services as an investment banking executive.
His career success allowed him to travel extensively around the United States and around the world. They more he traveled the more photos he took. He was drawn to photographing all types of people in all types of environments. In fact, the balance of his “family” photos became photos of “strangers”, unique people with unique viewpoints. His love of travel and culture was perfectly paired with his love of photography. When he got home from one trip he couldn’t wait to go through his photos while getting ready to plan the next trip. Although he loved his career in financial services, his heart longed for an alternative path that would give him a greater sense of personal fulfillment and the ability to more broadly impact the lives of others. That path for Greg was the creation of his own studio Gregory Perry Photography. His studio is the culmination of his life experiences, a perfect balance of family and community values, professionalism and exclusivity, a place to showcase his stylistic and creative work , and a place to truly be himself… unique, passionate, and resolute.
Greg is a graduate of Pace University in Pleasantville, New York with a degree in Economics and English Literature. He earned an MBA from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He is also a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and a member of WPPI Wedding and Portrait Photographers International. He is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Ossining Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Board of Deacons at the Union Church of Pocantico Hills. He and his wife live in Ossining with their son and two dogs.
